Dynamic Color

The Dynamic Color feature in EliteID automatically applies colors to objects on the card design, depending on the information stored in the Person's record. This powerful functionality allows you to create dynamic and personalized card designs without the need for manual adjustments.

A Practical Example: Student ID Cards

To illustrate the usefulness of Dynamic Color, let's consider an example of student ID cards. In this scenario, we've implemented Dynamic Color to enhance the card design by featuring four unique photo borders, each dynamically assigned based on the student's grade level.

When a student's card is printed, the appropriate color for their grade level is automatically applied to the photo border, streamlining the design process and providing a visually appealing and personalized card.

One of the major benefits of using Dynamic Color in this scenario is that you only need a single 'Student' card design instead of creating separate designs for each grade level. This not only simplifies the design process but also improves reportability by consolidating all student records under a single card design.

Dynamic Color can be used with any card design element featuring a color swatch, including

  • Photo (border)

  • Shape / Line

  • Text

  • Data

  • Name

  • Barcode / QR Code
