1. How do I add something to an ID card?

2. How can I switch to a different printer?

To change your active printer:

  • Look for the Station picker in the top bar, next to your user name

  • Click on the Station picker to select your desired printer

3. What’s the process for transferring a printer to new workstation?

To set up your ID printer on a new workstation, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the previously registered printer (RapIDadmin > Administration > Printers > Actions)

  2. On the new computer, install the printer using the manufacturer's official driver.

  3. Download and Install VDS PrintManager

  4. Follow the provided instructions to register the transferred printer

4. Can EliteID be hosted on our system?

EliteID is exclusively offered as a cloud-based solution. It operates on remote servers and leverages specific Amazon Web Services (AWS) capabilities that are not replicable in a local environment. As a result, on-premises hosting is not an option for EliteID.

5. How do I disable or pause printing?

There are two ways to pause or disable printing:

Method 1: Pause Printing via Windows Settings

  1. Navigate to: Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Devices > More devices and printer settings

  2. Double-click the printer to open the print queue

  3. Select Printer > Pause Printing

Note: While paused, prints from EliteID will appear in the queue but won't be printed until you unpause. You can delete pending prints if needed.

Method 2: Power Off the Printer

  1. Hold down the printer's power button until it shuts off

Note: If you continue printing from EliteID while the printer is off, jobs will be sent to the printer spooler and will start printing when the printer comes back online. You can delete pending prints if needed.

 

6. How do I get a report of people in the system?

A person report can be generated by selecting a List, then Actions > Export List.
