Detention Scheduling
Students can be assigned to detentions as an incident consequence.
To assign a detention as a consequence the detention event and schedule must be setup first. Detentions are comprised of two components: the event itself, and one or more meeting times.
Event
The Event label can describe the detention name, ID number, and one or more meeting times. Examples include “Lunch Detention”, “ After School”, “IIS”.
Schedule
The Schedule label can describe the meeting location, start/end time, frequency, and capacity. Examples include “Daily lunch”, “Weds afterschool”, “Friday ISS”,
Create a Detention Event
Click PerfectPass > Scheduling > Manage > Create Event to open the Create Scheduled Event window.
Field | Required | Description |

Name | Yes | Name will be printed to DETENTION slips and displayed in PerfectPass wherever the detention is referenced. |
ID Number | No | This optional ID can be printed on the DETENTION slip |
Location | Yes | Enter the location where the detention event is held. |
Capacity | Yes | Capacity limits the number of students who can be assigned to the meeting time. |
Create Schedule
To create a schedule, enter a Name such as Daily Lunch.
Click the plus button to create a new schedule that will be used for the daily lunch detention.
The Create Schedule window will open.
Choose a Pattern of Weekly, then choose the days when the detention is held.
Enter the Start Time and End Time.
To exclude certain days from the detention meeting time, select them in the Excluded Dates calendar.
Click Save to create the meeting time called Daily Lunch.
Add a Schedule to the Detention Event
After saving the Daily Lunch schedule, it should be selected automatically. If not, click the Select button then choose the Daily Lunch schedule that was just added.
Enter a location
Choose the Capacity
Click +ADD SCHEDULE
Daily Lunch is now listed under Current Schedule.
The completed page. Click Save to complete the detention setup.
Now that the detention is setup, it can be assigned by any incident.
