Data Management

The Data Management feature lets you import data into VDSapps programs through a simple web interface.

Overview

You can import:

• CSV/txt files containing person records and credentials

• JPG images for photos and signatures

• Class schedules (PerfectPass only)

How Import Works

• New records are added automatically

• Existing records are updated when ID numbers match

• For PerfectPass Class Schedules, imports replace the entire current schedule

Basic Import Process

1. Upload your data file to identify available columns (the file’s name can be anything)

2. Map your file columns to VDSapps fields

3. Upload your final file for processing

Note: Steps 1 and 2 only need to be done once unless your data format changes.

Quick Start Links

1. Create Import Configuration
   Data Management > Integrations > File Import > Create New Configuration

2. Create Data Mapping
   Data Management > Integrations > Mapping > Create New Data Map

3. Upload Files
   Data Management > Integrations > File Import > Actions > Upload

   • For data: Upload a CSV/txt file

   • For photos: Upload a zip file containing import.csv and photos
