Zebra GK420/ZD420/ZD421 Continuous Roll Configuration
This guide contains instructions to configure a Zebra slip printer for continuous roll paper (paper with no gaps/marks).
For printers using Zebra perforated card stock see Perforated Card Stock configuration.
The Zebra v8 driver requires changes to the Graphic Options for the slip header to print properly. See the bottom of the page for more information.
Initial Setup
Install the Zebra printer per the manufacturer's instructions.
Install the paper
Power on the printer
Install the printer driver
Connect the printer to the workstation when prompted by the installer
We recommend using the latest v8 driver.

The following step by step instructions and screenshots apply to Zebra v5. The page will be updated with v8 instructions.
Set the paper size in Printing Defaults
Once the printer is installed open Printers & Scanners. Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners
Select the Zebra printer and click Manage > Printer properties
Open Advanced > Printing Defaults
Set Width to 4.00 and Height to 3.00
Optional - Enable the cutter
Set Operation Mode to Tear off or Cutter.
The Cutter option requires the cutter hardware add-on.
Set Tracking Mode to Continuous
Click OK to exit
The paper size settings must also be applied to the General > Preferences tab, next.
Open General > Preferences
Set Width to 4.00 and Height to 3.00
Optional - Enable the cutter
Set Operation Mode to Tear off or Cutter.
Set Tracking Mode to Continuous
Click OK to exit
Zebra Driver v8 Graphic Options Setup
The configuration of the Zebra printer is complete. Next, visit the Printer Installation page to install the VDS PrintManager software that will relay PerfectPass print jobs to the Zebra printer.
