Signature Capture

EliteID provides an integrated signature capture feature to securely associate signatures with individual person records. Here's how to capture a signature:

  1. Open the person's record you want to capture a signature for.

  2. Click the "Signature Capture" button, located in the top bar of the Person panel. This will launch the signature capture interface.

  3. Have the individual sign directly on the signature capture device connected to your workstation.

  4. Once the signature is captured, you have three options:

    • Click the green checkmark button to accept and save the signature to the person's record.

    • Click the blue eraser icon to clear the signature area and allow the person to re-sign.

    • Click the red cancel button to exit without saving the signature.

  5. If accepted, the signature will be permanently attached to that person's record, and a "Signature Capture" event is logged in the Event History.

Troubleshooting

If you see an error message stating "Signature pad could not be initialized", first ensure the required signature capture software is properly installed and the signature pad device is correctly connected to your workstation.
